yes, basically…like i seriously think patti is really really really smart…like you know she doesn’t have an IQ of 200 or anything but she knows what the fuck is up and she could do so many things if she really wanted to.  its more in the like…common sense sort of intelligence??if anything else??like you know living in brooklyn with only your older sister who is as damaged as you are if not even more so means that u gotta learn some serious shit if you dont wanna die ya know they had to grow up way too fast

like im super serious when i say that the mental capabilities of the thompson sisters is amazing.  theyre not super-geniuses but if everyone in soul eater was put into an extremely violent and dangerous urban setting like man i mean people gettin stabbed and shit every day everywhere there are no safe places to hide they would be the queen bitches & would be some of the few that were able to survive.  theyre so capable of so many things they know how to rise to the motherfuckin top.  

and patti being childish as a front is totally plausible to me for that reason like??she would def. retain some sort of half-baked personality in order to cope with the entirety of her childhood being total bullshit.  like the only childhood she probably had was when liz managed to scrape some shit together and they went to go around the nicer parts of NY and took walks in central park and had ice cream and ate those nasty ass peanuts from vendors on the street.  maybe if you think that them having a sugar daddy (which they probably did for awhile, and sugar daddies dont have to be sex related btw) that bought them nice things would be something that also qualifies for childhood, go ahead but like.
